Push to stop Gerard Baden-Clay inheriting wife's estate

Murder victim Allison Baden-Clay's father is pushing to stop her killer husband from inheriting more than $1 million from her.

As the sole beneficiary in her will, Gerard Baden-Clay stands to collect $1,019,071 in superannuation and life insurance payouts.

But her father Geoff Dickie has asked the Supreme Court to formally declare Baden-Clay has no rights to his wife's estate, the Courier Mail reports.

Baden-Clay murdered his wife in their Brisbane home in April 2012, before telling police she had disappeared after going for a late-night walk.

He was charged with her murder after her body was found dumped by a creek ten days later.

Mrs Baden-Clay signed the will in 1997 naming her husband as the sole beneficiary and executor.

In the event he died before her, the estate would be left to their children.

The former real estate agent is currently serving a life sentence.

He renounced his right to be executor in December while behind bars at Wolston Correctional Centre.
