Power lines on train tracks at Gold Coast

Train commuters on the Gold Coast are facing lengthy delays after power lines fell onto the tracks.

Trains have been suspended in both directions between Coomera and Varsity Lakes, with buses to ferry passengers between the stations until 3pm Tuesday and commuters being told to expect delays of up to 60 minutes.

Rail crews are working to fix an electrical fault after power lines fell onto the tracks in front of a train at Helensvale on Monday night, stranding more than 100 passengers.
