Policewoman punched outside Qld pub

A man will face court after a female police officer was punched in the face at a hotel in southern Queensland.

The 32-year-old officer received hospital treatment for a facial fracture following the incident at a hotel in Railway Street, Gatton, around midnight on Friday.

Police allege the intoxicated man pushed the officer twice and then punched her in the face after being refused entry to the hotel.

He will face the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Saturday on one count of serious assault police causing bodily harm and three counts of assault police while adversely affected by intoxicating substance.
