Police to destroy suspicious device in Qld

Police are planning to destroy a suspicious device on a Queensland waterfront after declaring an emergency situation.

The declaration was made at 3.30pm on Wednesday after the device was found at an address in Scarborough, in the Moreton Bay Region, and an exclusion zone has been set up.

Specialist police are at the site and will destroy the device on the nearby waterfront, police say.
