Police officer assaulted with vodka bottle

A woman has been charged after she hit a police officer with a bottle of vodka in a serious assault in Brisbane.

The 33-year-old male senior constable was transported to the Mater Brisbane Hospital after he was struck by the 19-year-old when police attended a street disturbance in the early hours of Saturday morning in Inala.

She has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on Saturday.
