Brisbane's Story Bridge reopens after 6hrs

Brisbane's Story Bridge has reopened more than six hours after it was closed off due to a police incident.

The bridge had been blocked since about 7am on Saturday, with officers turning cars and pedestrians away as they approached the area.

The closure affected traffic in both directions and caused heavy delays on nearby roads.

Police later closed three further roads in Fortitude Valley, triggering more congestion.

Road conditions are expected to gradually return to normal.
