Police charge man over boy death threats

A 44-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder and torture of a young boy following a disturbance at a Brisbane home.

Police were called to the home in Brisbane's south on Monday morning following reports of a disturbance involving a man and a pre-teen boy.

While the boy was not seriously injured, the man, reportedly his father, was arrested and charged.

The man is due to face Brisbane's Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
