Pisasale opponent Jim Dodrill attacked in Ipswich bushland

Queensland anti-corruption campaigner Jim Dodrill and his elderly father say they were attacked by a group of men while walking in Ipswich bushland on the weekend.
Mr Dodrill, who helped compile a dossier of allegations against former Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale and several colleagues that Independent MP Rob Pyne tabled in the state Parliament earlier this month, was treated in hospital yesterday for a cut to his head and bruised ribs.
His 73-year-old father received an arm injury.
Mr Dodrill, who is a karate teacher, said they were set upon by up to 20 men near the Woodlinks Estate at Collingwood Park while responding to a complaint about trail bike riders in the area.
He said they were taken down a dirt road and bashed.
"They threatened to kill me and my father," he told the ABC today.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the assault, but could not confirm Mr Dodrill's allegations that a large group was involved in the attack.
