Palaszczuk creates register of women
AAP
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says her government will actively encourage more women to join government boards.
Ms Palaszczuk says advertisements will begin this weekend for expressions of interest to build a register of women to fill vacancies in the state's 320 government bodies as they arise.
"My government is now committed to ensuring women are equally represented at all levels of leadership on boards and committees for government bodies," Ms Palaszczuk said.
