Pair charged over drugs haul on Gold Coast

A man and a woman have been caught driving a vehicle allegedly containing more than $300,000 of drugs including ecstasy and ice.

Police intercepted the vehicle at Bilinga on the Gold Coast on Saturday night and after conducting a search, allegedly found around 10,000 ecstasy tablets, a pipe and methylamphetamine (ice).

The 50-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from Logan Reserve, were charged with offences including the possession of a dangerous drug.

The pair will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
