Man dead, others hurt in horror Qld crash

A man has died and several others are injured after an eight-vehicle crash in southeast Queensland.

Police say the crash happened on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Woodhill, north of Beaudesert, about 8am on Tuesday.

A 43-year-old male motorcyclist died at the scene.

Others suffered minor injuries in the crash, which also involved two trucks and five cars, Senior Sergeant Andrew Tracey said.

He said two people who had to be cut out of a car and another driver were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The highway is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.
