One killed in central Queensland crash

One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident southwest of Rockhampton in central Queensland.
A vehicle travelling west on the Burnett Highway appears to have crossed the road and crashed into a tree about 5.30pm on Sunday.
A passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital where they were later pronounced dead while the driver sustained unknown injuries.
