NSW man extradited over Qld ring thefts

A NSW man accused of swiping a tray of engagement rings from a Gympie jewellery store will be extradited to Queensland after failing to front court.
Police say the 44-year-old from Nowra failed to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court earlier this month on robbery with actual violence charges stemming from the August 2015 robbery.
He will be extradited on Tuesday night and is due to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
