Commuters who endured seven days of delays on a north Brisbane rail line will be celebrating as services return to normal.

Signalling testing on the new Redcliffe Peninsula line forced a track closure between Zillmere and Caboolture stations from last Friday.

Services resumed in the early hours of Friday, with Translink reporting only minor delays.

The Redcliffe Peninsula line, previously known as the Moreton Bay Rail Link, features new stations at Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Mango Hill East, Rothwell and Kippa-Ring.

The near-$1 billion project was due to open in mid-2016 but had been delayed by signalling faults that could have caused train crashes.

It is set to open on October 4.
