No sign of Brit who jumped into Qld river

There's been no sign of a missing British backpacker who took a running jump into the Brisbane River three days ago.

The 30-year-old was the first of four friends who planned to jump from the William Jolly Bridge in Brisbane's CBD around 10.30pm on Sunday.

A police boat will again scour a large stretch of the river on Wednesday in a bid to find the missing man.

The search will focus on the area between the Story Bridge and St Lucia, a police spokeswoman told AAP.
