No changes to pokies: Qld attorney-general
AAP
Queensland Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath says the government has no plans to amend laws to allow punters to play pokies before 10am.
A question about the possible changes was initially ruled out of order in parliament on Tuesday because of its close link to alcohol-fuelled violence legislation already on the floor, but Speaker Peter Wellington later allowed opposition MP Tarnya Smith to ask it.
"I can advise the member and all members of the House that there is no intention to change that regulation and no licences provided for pre-10am gaming in pubs and clubs since changes under the Bligh government," Ms D'Ath said.
