Nicholls happy to appoint Springborg

A new-look LNP shadow ministry will be unveiled in the next 36 hours ahead of the next Queensland parliamentary sittings.

Newly appointed Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls plans to have his front bench in place by Tuesday.

Speaking in Toowoomba on Saturday, Mr Nicholls said he would be "very happy" to have ousted leader Lawrence Springborg serve as a shadow minister.

Mr Nicholls has moved to distance himself from the government's claims he was former premier Campbell Newman's "right-hand man" during the failed asset sales campaign.

Mr Nicholls said voters could expect someone with experience, enthusiasm and a dedication to their cause.

"I'm someone who knows what makes Queenslanders tick and who knows what makes the economy tick," he said.
