Newman's book is just his take: Springborg

Queensland's opposition leader has urged people who read ex-premier Campbell Newman's authorised biography to remember that his perspective is just one of many.

While promoting his upcoming book, Mr Newman indicated that he volunteered to quit as Liberal National Party leader ahead of the party's electoral defeat in January and was not comfortable with the party's privatisation plans, among other admissions.

"I think it'll provide an interesting perception ... and I just ask that people respect that other people may have a different take on things," Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg said.
