New Chinese flights to Qld announced

There will be daily flights from Shanghai to Brisbane from December, Queensland's tourism minister says.

Kate Jones says China Eastern Airlines' decision to increase its services showed the company's confidence in the Queensland economy.

"This is really exciting and we know this will generate around $53 million for the Queensland economy and add thousands of extra passengers to Queensland," Ms Jones said on Thursday.
