New CEO for Qld Competition Authority

The Queensland Competition Authority will have a new boss come September.

Chief executive John Hindmarsh, will be step down at the end of next month to be replaced by Charles Millsteed, who is currently the QCA's director of economic regulation.

Mr Hindmarsh has overseen the QCA for the past two years while the authority has undergone a period of transition.

Following the creation of the Queensland Productivity Commission, the QCA has reviewed its resourcing needs, including the structure and size of the senior management team.

QCA chair professor Roy Green said the authority has become stronger and more resilient under Mr Hindmarsh.

"We now look forward to Mr Millsteed providing continuity in direction and building further on these achievements with the QCA's high performing staff."
