A mother and father are dead and a teenage girl is seriously injured after a car rolled in southern Queensland.

The parents, both aged 37, were killed in the crash just hundreds of metres from their home at Welcome Creek, near Bundaberg, on Saturday afternoon.

Their two sons, aged 5 and 17, suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the teen's 15-year-old girlfriend sustained serious injuries after being thrown from the vehicle.

The boys' mother was also thrown from the car when it rolled on Gooburrum Road.

"These people were just a couple of hundred metres from their home when it would appear that their vehicle has left the road and rolled over," Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman Mike Kelly told the ABC.

He said people from a nearby house helped the teens and young boy until paramedics arrived.

The trio were taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
