Two dead in Qld head-on collision

Two women are dead after a head-on crash near Jimboomba in southeast Queensland.

Police say the women were passengers in one of two cars that collided on the Mount Lindesay Highway on Saturday afternoon.

The drivers of both vehicles and another passenger were taken to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment to their injuries.

About 6am a 40-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of a collision with a car on the Bruce Highway at Balberra in central Queensland.

The 48-year-old woman driving the car was treated for shock at Mackay Base Hospital.
