Mother's Day Classic in 13th year in Qld

Mums of all ages will swap sleep-ins for sprinting on Sunday when thousands of people pound the inner-city Brisbane pavement to raise money for breast cancer research.

The Women in Super Mother's Day Classic has been held in cities across Australia since 1998.

The first event was held in Brisbane in 2004.

Thousands of runners will descend on the South Bank parklands for the 4.5km and 8km walk and run.

People wanting to register on Sunday morning are asked to make their way to the start line from 6am, ahead of the first race at 7am.
