Missing Qld man's car found abandoned

Police are searching for a man whose car has been found abandoned at Bowen, south of Townsville.

The 36-year-old man was reported missing from the Bowen area on Sunday after his work vehicle was found, locked and secure, along Mount Buckley Road about 7pm (AEST).

His family is worried about him and anyone who might have information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
