Missing Qld bushwalker found safe

The search for a woman who was missing overnight in bushland on the Sunshine Coast has been called off after she turned up at a police station.

Police say the 24-year-old woman called them around 4pm on Monday after becoming disorientated in the Beerburrum West State Forest.

She couldn't be found overnight and her phone ran out of battery so emergency services made preparations for a land and ground search of the forest to start at 8am.

But the search was cancelled when the woman arrived at the Woodford police station on Tuesday morning, safe and well, after making her way out of the bush around 1am.
