Manhunt in Qld after alleged bashing

Two men are in police custody after an extensive manhunt sparked by an alleged bashing south of Brisbane.

Officers blocked a number of roads as the police helicopter and dog squad were called in to find two men who fled into bushland following an altercation in Drewvale on Thursday morning.

A man who was allegedly assaulted was taken to hospital suffering heatstroke and dehydration about 9.30am, the Queensland Ambulance Service said.

A police spokeswoman said two men, aged in their 20s, were assisting police.
