Man trapped in car hanging off Qld bridge

An elderly driver had to be freed from his car after it was left partially hanging off a bridge on the Brisbane Valley Highway.

The man in his 70s was trapped in the sedan that was hanging about 1.5m above the Wanora creekbed, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

He was eventually freed by paramedics and police and airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
