Man to face trial over Qld weapons cache
A man arrested after a raid on an alleged bikie-linked weapons factory north of Brisbane will face trial early next year.
Alleged Rebels associate Karl Michael Morrison, 33, was charged with 12 weapons-related offences and five counts of importing goods without approval following a raid on a Clear Mountain property earlier this month.
He denies all of the charges.
Police have alleged they uncovered an Uzi sub-machine gun, five other firearms, weapons parts and drugs during the raid.
Morrison's case was mentioned in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday morning when Magistrate Judith Daley set a trial date for January 28.
His lawyer Leigh Rollason told the court he would no longer proceed with a bail application and requested the case go straight to trial.
Morrison, who didn't appear in court, was remanded in custody.
He is also facing four drugs charges which are expected to be mentioned in court after the January trial.
