Man to face court after Ipswich robbery

A man will face court accused of assaulting two people before ransacking their Ipswich home and stealing several electronic devices.

The 21-year-old allegedly broke into the house in Leichhardt with another man on Monday afternoon and attacked a 35-year-old man and 27-year-old woman.

The pair allegedly fled in a stolen car, which was intercepted after police used tyre spikes on the Ipswich Motorway on Tuesday night.

The man will face the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday on various charges including two counts of armed robbery.
