Search underway for man swept away by floodwaters at Mount Isa

A search is underway for a man missing in floodwaters at Mount Isa in Queensland.
Police say that at around 10pm on Friday a member of the public saw the man swept away by the flooded Leichhardt River at the Twenty Third Avenue crossing at Happy Valley.
A search by police and swift water rescue personnel failed to locate any trace of the man on Friday night.

The search resumed at 6am on Saturday.
