Man suffers head injury in Qld assault

A Queensland man has suffered a head injury and burns to his upper body in an assault.

Paramedics say the 24-year-old was taken to the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital after the incident at Beenleigh, south of Brisbane, around 9.50am on Thursday.

Police have confirmed officers were called to a disturbance involving a number of people and have a person in custody.
