UPDATE: Queensland man dies after suffering burns from rail graffiti run

A Queensland man has died this morning after suffering burns from being electrocuted while allegedly attempting to graffiti a train in Brisbane's south last night.

The 26-year-old man came into contact with electrical wires after police said he scaled a container car in a Tennyson rail shunting yard around 8.30pm yesterday.

"He raised his hands and suffered an electric shock, causing deep thickness burns to 90 percent of his body," police said in a statement.

The Greenbank man was being treated at the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he later died.

Police have interviewed a 19-year-old man who was with the man in the yard but have not laid any charges.

It is the second fatality involving train graffiti in as many months.

A man was killed at Runcorn, in Brisbane in late September while he was train surfing and attempting to spray graffiti on a carriage.
