Man stuck in Qld elevator hospitalised

A young man has been taken to hospital after becoming stuck in an elevator on the Gold Coast.

A call for help was made around 6am on Friday after the lift became stuck between levels at the building on Scarborough Street, Southport.

The man, aged in his 20s, wasn't freed until around 7.40am and was transported to hospital, most likely as a precaution.
