Manhunt continues over Brisbane stabbing
The manhunt continues for a 34-year-old wanted in connection to a stabbing death south of Brisbane.
John Zarnke has not been seen since his alleged victim was found with stab wounds to his chest on a roadside in Logan early on Tuesday.
Paramedics fought to save the 27-year-old but he died from his injuries.
Police say Zarnke fled the scene in a red Holden Commodore ute, but later abandoned it and switched to a grey Honda Accord.
It's believed the Honda was last seen heading north in the Clem 7 tunnel.
Officers and the dog squad swarmed the Mabel Park State School during the search on Tuesday.
Police also doorknocked the area and surveyed the neighbourhood with a helicopter, to no avail.
While police have refused to confirm reports the dead man had multiple wounds to his chest, they did say he had injuries "which have been caused by a knife".
Neighbours told of hearing screams in Golden Street about 4am.
One neighbour, Peter, said he went outside after hearing people yelling and screaming.
Police have released images of Zarnke, who is about 182cm tall, of slim build with brown hair, and has multiple tattoos.
Members of the public are urged not to approach Zarnke and to call police immediately if the see him.
