Man stabbed in the back on Gold Coast

A man has been stabbed in the back after being confronted by two men near a Gold Coast park.

Police say the 34-year-old was walking along Marine Parade, Labrador, shortly before 4pm when he was attacked by two men who had pulled up beside him in a vehicle.

He managed to break free, but he was stabbed when his attackers caught up with him.

They fled the scene in their car, which was driven by another man.

The man's wound is not believed to be life threatening, although he is recovering in the Gold Coast University Hospital.
