Man questioned over wife's stabbing murder

Police are trying to contact a Brisbane woman whose father is being questioned over the apparent stabbing murder of her mother.

The woman's mother, aged in her 60s, was found dead at a Stafford Heights home on Saturday morning after her father called police.

He was on Saturday questioned as part of a murder investigation, acting inspector Catherine Jones told reporters at the scene.

Only the couple were home and no one else has been injured.

Investigations continue.
