Pedestrian hit and killed in Brisbane

A man has died after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Brisbane.

Police said the 80-year-old was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital after being struck in Woolloongabba on Friday evening, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The 27-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
