Man hospitalised after firey Qld crash

Passing motorists have pulled a man out of a burning ute that had crashed in far north Queensland.
The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, suffered serious burns and life-threatening injuries after his ute left the road, hit a tree and caught alight on the Kennedy Highway at Ravenshoe on Thursday.
He was taken to Cairns Hospital for treatment.

The highway was closed in both directions for two hours but one lane has since reopened.
