Qld stab victim had knife stuck in belly

A man has been charged after a stabbing victim who was found with a knife still embedded in his stomach on the Gold Coast.

Ambulance officers and police were called to a property at Currumbin Waters just before midnight on Thursday, and found the injured man with the weapon still lodged firmly in his body.

The 30-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with one count of wounding and will face the Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
