Man faces charges over Qld house fire

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a house fire in outer Brisbane.
Police allege the 28-year-old set fire to a mattress in a house in Durack about 11am on Sunday after an earlier argument with two other men in the home.
One of the men smelt smoke and woke the other and they both fled before fire crews arrived and put out the blaze.

The man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of endangering property by fire.
He's due to appear at Richlands Magistrates Court on Monday.
