Man accused of stabbing murder in Qld

A middle-aged man is facing a murder charge after stabbing another man in the stomach in a Queensland unit.

The victim, a 29-year-old, died during surgery in Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital on Saturday after he was stabbed in the stomach in an Ipswich unit about 9am.

Police say up to four people were in the unit in the suburb of Booval when the man was stabbed, all of whom were known to each other.

Detectives believe a knife was used to stab the man.

A Moores Park man, 45, was charged with murder late on Saturday ahead of a scheduled appearance at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
