Man dies after car and truck crash in Qld

A man has reportedly died after his small car collided with a truck in Queensland's Wide Bay region.

An ambulance officer called to the crash site on the Bundaberg Ring Rd at Kensington on Thursday afternoon told the Bundaberg News Mail the driver died at the scene.

A Queensland police spokeswoman couldn't confirm the man's death but said officers remained at the scene of a serious crash in the same location.

Meanwhile, a man has been taken to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition after he was thrown from his car during a crash.

The sole occupant of the ute was driving on the Cunningham Highway at Thane, about 200km southwest of Brisbane, about 6am on Thursday when his vehicle veered off the road and rolled several times.
