Man critical after motorbike collision

An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition in Townsville Hospital after a crash involving two motorcycles near Proserpine.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 7pm and found the man with severe head injuries and a 15-year-old boy with multiple fractures who was flown to Mackay Base Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
