Man charged with Michael McCabe murder in court

A 31-year-old man charged with the murder of Queensland man Michael McCabe is expected to appear in a Townsville court.

The man was charged on Saturday night, a day after detectives arrested three other people - two men, aged 29 and 41, and a 21-year-old woman - who were all remanded in custody at the weekend.

Mr McCabe, 25, was reported missing in August and police found his body at Crystal Creek, north of Townsville, on Thursday.

He had reportedly told his uncle in Charters Towers to raise the alarm and be very worried if he failed to make contact within a week of when he was last seen.
