AAP
A man has been charged following a nine-and-a-half-hour siege north of Brisbane.
The 48-year-old faces three charges, including seriously assaulting police and a bomb hoax, after allegedly taking two people and a dog hostage and threatening police with a home-made firearm at a Redcliffe home on Monday morning.
An elderly man was released after about three hours, while a second man, and his dog, were released just before 4pm after a police negotiator was brought in.
