Man charged over Qld house fire

A Queensland man has been charged with setting fire to a house south of Brisbane.
Firefighters were called to the home on Winifred St, at Kingston, about 11pm on Tuesday.
Police say the fire damaged the front living room.

Officers say a 33-year-old man forced open the front door before setting the room alight.
He's been charged with arson and entering a premises with intent.
The man is due appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.
