Man charged over Qld cold case murder

A man has been charged with murdering a woman more than six years after she was found dead under a tree in southwest Queensland.

The body of Lainie Coldwell, 36, was discovered at Charleville in August 2009 with signs of a severe head injury.

After a forensic review, detectives on Thursday arrested and charged a 42-year-old man with murder as well as fraud related offences.
