Man charged over Gold Coast assault

A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting two people and causing damage to a number of vehicles on the Gold Coast.

A 41-year-old man allegedly went to a Southport home on Sunday night and struck two men with an iron bar before getting into a car and ramming four other parked cars.

A 53-year-old man was treated for injuries to his ribs and back while another 50-year-old man was treated for facial and non-life-threatening head injuries.

The alleged attacker was charged and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
