Man charged over Gold Coast train stabbing

A man has been charged with unlawful wounding after another man was stabbed in the stomac during an argument on the Gold Coast train.

Police allege the stabbed man followed a 23-year-old man he had been arguing with to another carriage and kicked at his motorcycle helmet, before the younger man stabbed him.

The 40-year-old is in the Gold Coast Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the younger man was arrested at Coomera station and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court later this month.
