Teen charged after brutal stabbing in car park on Sunshine Coast
A young man has been charged over the brutal stabbing of another man at a Sunshine Coast car park on Wednesday night.
Police allege an 18-year-old man stopped a 41-year-old at a parking lot on Coronation Avenue, Nambour, at 10pm and demanded he handover his backpack.
When the man refused, a fight broke out between the pair which resulted in the older man being viciously stabbed a number of times in the head and upper body.

The 41-year-old was able to present himself to a nearby McDonald's, when emergency services were called.

The 18-year-old allegedly left the scene with the backpack but police have since tracked him down thanks to CCTV and he was arrested in Maroochydore last night.

He has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place.
He will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
